Apple Inc. has released iTunes 7.7 which, among other features, now gives access to the iTunes App Store for downloading applications on your iPhone or iTouch device. There are a lot of excellent applications available and a whole section dedicated to Educational apps. From stargazing to note-taking we are going to cover some of the highlights.

Education Reform from Top Political Candidates

The primary season is over and the United States now has their two candidates for the general election for President. Republican John McCain will oppose Democrat Barack Obama on November 3rd for the highest office of the executive branch. With any new presidency comes reform and indeed “Change” has been a word used by both parties in regards to a number of issues. Today we are going to look at how both candidates stack up in their political views of how education should be reformed.

Twitter is one of those websites that at first looks like the last thing you want to use in a classroom. Part instant messenger, part cell phone integration, mostly chit-chat, one would assume there is little value to be had by included it in a curriculum. However I have found quite a few novel uses for the web app that is growing in popularity every day.
